Please read these Terms carefully before placing an order or using our website. By accessing our website or purchasing from Me Jewellery, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms.
Nothing contained within these Terms is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies available to consumers under the Australian Consumer Law (“ACL”) or any other applicable legislation where those rights cannot lawfully be excluded.
Me Jewellery is an Australian owned and operated jewellery business specialising in engagement rings, wedding rings, fine jewellery, custom jewellery design and diamond sourcing.
We offer both ready-made and custom manufactured jewellery designs using precious metals including platinum, yellow gold, white gold and rose gold, together with natural diamonds, laboratory-grown diamonds and coloured gemstones.
Our goal is to provide exceptional craftsmanship, honest advice and outstanding customer service while maintaining complete transparency throughout the purchasing process.
These Terms apply whenever you:
By proceeding with any of these activities you agree to be legally bound by these Terms together with our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and Refund Policy where applicable.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you should discontinue using our website and refrain from placing an order.
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our business, products, services or legal obligations. The latest version will always be available on our website and will apply to future orders placed after publication.
The information contained on this website is provided for general information purposes only.
While every reasonable effort is made to ensure that information displayed on our website is accurate and current, occasional errors may occur including pricing, product descriptions, availability, specifications or photography.
We reserve the right to correct any errors, omissions or inaccuracies without prior notice.
Nothing on this website constitutes professional jewellery valuation, investment advice or gemmological certification unless expressly stated.
Customers should make their own enquiries if relying on information for insurance, investment or resale purposes.
You agree not to:
Unauthorised use of this website may give rise to legal action.
Me Jewellery offers a range of jewellery products and services including:
All of our products are manufactured to order, we do not hold stock.
Availability may change without notice.
Where a selected diamond or gemstone becomes unavailable after an order is placed, we will contact you to discuss suitable alternatives before proceeding.
We reserve the right to discontinue products or modify specifications where necessary.
We make every reasonable effort to accurately display our jewellery through photographs, videos, CAD renderings and product descriptions.
However, customers acknowledge that jewellery viewed online may appear different in person due to:
Many of our product images are photographed under professional lighting that may highlight details not normally visible during everyday wear.
Jewellery dimensions shown on screen are not actual size.
Customers should refer to the stated measurements provided within product descriptions rather than relying solely on photographs.
CAD renderings are intended to illustrate the design and proportions of a piece before manufacture. CAD images are not photorealistic representations of the finished jewellery and may differ slightly in appearance, surface finish, claws, setting details or overall visual proportions once manufactured.
Reasonable manufacturing variations are considered normal and do not constitute defects.
Unless otherwise stated, all prices displayed on the Me Jewellery website are shown in Australian Dollars (AUD).
Prices may be updated without notice due to fluctuations in:
A quotation provided by Me Jewellery is generally valid for the period specified within the quotation.
Where no validity period is stated, quotations should be regarded as estimates only and may require confirmation before an order is accepted.
Prices displayed on the website do not guarantee availability.
In the unlikely event that an obvious pricing error occurs, we reserve the right to cancel or amend the order before manufacturing commences. If payment has already been received, customers will be offered the option of receiving a full refund or proceeding at the correct price.
Payment methods accepted by the Me Jewellery website, www.mejewellery.com.au are displayed during the checkout process and may change from time to time.
Orders will generally not commence until any required deposit or full payment has been received.
Full payment is required before dispatch or Pickup from our Studio
For custom jewellery, staged payments or deposits may apply depending on the nature of the project.
All payments must be made in Australian Dollars unless otherwise agreed. See Section 17 for AUSTRAC Compliance.
Where payment is made using a third-party payment provider, customers are also subject to the provider’s terms and conditions.
If payment cannot be successfully processed, Me Jewellery reserves the right to delay or cancel the order until payment has been successfully received.
Fraud prevention measures may require additional identity verification before high-value orders are accepted.
Every custom jewellery project begins with an individual quotation based upon the information available at the time.
Quotations may include factors such as:
If the scope of work changes after a quotation has been accepted, Me Jewellery reserves the right to revise pricing accordingly.
Any additional costs will be discussed with the customer before further work proceeds wherever reasonably possible.
One of Me Jewellery’s specialties is designing and manufacturing custom jewellery tailored specifically to each client.
Custom jewellery may include engagement rings, wedding rings, anniversary rings, remodelled jewellery and one-off commissioned pieces.
Because each bespoke piece is individually designed and manufactured, customers acknowledge that the finished item may contain minor differences from hand sketches, CAD renderings or prototype models.
These differences arise from the traditional hand-finishing techniques used by experienced jewellers together with the natural characteristics of precious metals and gemstones.
Minor manufacturing tolerances are normal within the jewellery industry and do not constitute faults or defects.
Where practical, Me Jewellery will endeavour to accommodate reasonable design changes before manufacturing commences.
However, once manufacture has begun, changes may not be possible or may incur additional charges.
Many of the jewellery pieces created by Me Jewellery are individually designed and manufactured specifically for each customer. Due to the personalised nature of these orders, different terms apply compared with ready-made jewellery.
A custom or bespoke order may include, but is not limited to:
To commence a custom order, Me Jewellery may require a deposit. The required deposit amount will be advised before work begins.
Receipt of a deposit allows Me Jewellery to commence work, which may include consultation, design development, CAD modelling, sourcing diamonds or gemstones, ordering precious metals, manufacturing preparation and other project-related costs.
Unless otherwise required under Australian Consumer Law, deposits paid for custom jewellery are generally non-refundable once work has commenced, as they contribute towards costs that cannot ordinarily be recovered.
For ready-made jewellery, payment requirements may differ and will be advised at the time of purchase.
Customers are encouraged to carefully review all quotations, specifications and design details before confirming an order.
For ready-made jewellery, cancellation requests received prior to dispatch will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Custom jewellery orders differ because work generally commences shortly after confirmation.
If a customer requests cancellation after design work, CAD development, gemstone sourcing or manufacturing has commenced, Me Jewellery reserves the right to retain all or part of any deposit to cover costs already incurred.
Where expenses incurred exceed the deposit paid, Me Jewellery reserves the right to recover reasonable costs associated with work completed to the date of cancellation.
Where a customer requests changes after an order has been confirmed, Me Jewellery will make reasonable efforts to accommodate those changes where practical.
However, changes requested after manufacturing has commenced may:
Certain custom orders may reach a stage where changes are no longer technically possible.
For many bespoke jewellery projects, Me Jewellery provides Computer Aided Design (CAD) images or other design illustrations prior to manufacture.
These images allow customers to review the proposed design, dimensions and overall appearance before production begins.
Customers are responsible for carefully reviewing all information provided, including but not limited to:
Customers should seek clarification if any aspect of the design is unclear before providing approval.
Once written approval has been received, manufacturing will commence.
Following approval, customers acknowledge that:
Me Jewellery is not responsible for misunderstandings arising from approved designs where the customer has confirmed that the design is satisfactory prior to manufacture.
Every diamond and coloured gemstone is unique.
Natural diamonds and gemstones are formed by geological processes over millions of years and commonly contain natural inclusions, growth characteristics and colour variations that contribute to their individuality.
Laboratory-grown diamonds are created in controlled environments but may also exhibit natural growth characteristics, inclusions and minor variations.
Customers acknowledge that:
Where Me Jewellery sources an individual diamond or gemstone on behalf of a customer, that stone is selected according to the grading information available at the time.
Diamond grading certificates issued by independent laboratories represent the opinion of the issuing laboratory and are not guarantees provided by Me Jewellery.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Me Jewellery does not independently guarantee the grading assigned by third-party laboratories.
Me Jewellery manufactures jewellery using a variety of precious metals including platinum, yellow gold, white gold and rose gold.
Customer/s acknowledge that precious metals are naturally softer than other metals like Steel and change over time through normal wear.
Examples include:
These characteristics are considered normal wear and do not constitute manufacturing defects.
White gold jewellery may require periodic rhodium plating to maintain its bright white appearance. This service can be provided for a fee.
The frequency of replating depends upon individual wear patterns and is regarded as routine maintenance rather than a warranty issue.
Determining the correct ring size is the responsibility of both Me Jewellery and the customer.
Customers are encouraged to have their finger professionally measured prior to ordering.
Finger size naturally varies due to:
Where a customer provides a ring size, or relies upon measurements obtained from another jeweller or third party, Me Jewellery cannot accept responsibility for inaccuracies in those measurements.
Some designs can be resized after manufacture, while others cannot especially with pave (stone Set) shoulders and or bands. in some cases the ring will have to be totally remade or only allow a size varations of 1-2 sizes.
Certain rings, including eternity rings, tension-style settings and designs incorporating multiple gemstones or intricate detailing, may have limited resizing capability or may not be suitable for resizing at all.
We off a one off complimentary resizing, the offer applies only within the conditions advised by Me Jewellery at the time of purchase.
Additional resizing requests, substantial size changes or resizing made necessary by an incorrectly supplied ring size may incur additional charges.
Estimated production times provided by Me Jewellery are intended as a guide only.
While every reasonable effort is made to complete orders within the estimated timeframe, production schedules depend upon numerous factors beyond our reasonable control.
These factors may include:
Customers acknowledge that production estimates are not guaranteed completion dates.
Reasonable delays do not entitle a customer to cancel a custom order or claim compensation where Me Jewellery continues to act diligently and in good faith to complete the order.
Where significant delays arise, Me Jewellery will endeavour to keep customers informed and provide revised estimated completion dates.
Me Jewellery is committed to complying with all applicable Australian laws and regulatory obligations, including legislation relating to anti-money laundering, counter-terrorism financing, sanctions, taxation and consumer protection.

Nothing in these Terms limits Me Jewellery’s ability to comply with any legal obligation imposed by Australian legislation or a government authority.

Subject to Australian Consumer Law and our Refund Policy, Me Jewellery may consider change-of-mind returns for selected ready-made jewellery, provided:
Return postage and insurance costs for change-of-mind returns are generally the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise agreed.
Custom-made jewellery is manufactured specifically for an individual customer.
For this reason, change-of-mind returns, exchanges or refunds are generally not available once manufacture has commenced, except where required under Australian Consumer Law.
This includes jewellery manufactured to customer specifications, individually sourced diamonds, personalised engravings and bespoke designs.
Nothing in this section excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

Me Jewellery takes great pride in the quality of its workmanship and materials and offer a 12 months warranty.
Subject to Australian Consumer Law, Me Jewellery provides a workmanship warranty covering manufacturing defects that become apparent during the applicable warranty period advised at the time of purchase.

Customers acknowledge that jewellery presented for repair may already contain wear, previous repairs, hidden damage or structural weaknesses that are not immediately visible.

Where additional issues are identified during repair, Me Jewellery may contact the customer to discuss revised repair options and any additional costs before proceeding wherever reasonably practical.
Repair quotations are estimates based on the condition of the jewellery at the time of inspection.
Should additional work become necessary after repairs commence, the quotation may be revised.
Completed repairs should be inspected by the customer upon collection.
Unless otherwise required by Australian Consumer Law, any concerns relating to repair workmanship should be reported as soon as reasonably possible after collection.
From time to time customers request that Me Jewellery remodel existing jewellery or set customer-supplied diamonds or gemstones.
While every reasonable care is taken, customers acknowledge that previously worn jewellery and gemstones may contain internal fractures, chips, abrasions, stress fractures or other characteristics that may not be visible during initial inspection.
Accordingly:
Where customer-supplied diamonds or gemstones are damaged due to previously existing weaknesses or inherent characteristics, Me Jewellery will not be liable for replacement unless required by law.
